Everyone has heard of the “your life flashes before your eyes when you die” situation, but not many people know the reason for it. When something goes wrong, your brain can usually deal with it by using past experiences to deal with things. For example, falling over, your brain knows that if you dont stop yourself you will get hurt, this has been learned when you were very small and fell over without stopping yourself. This goes on, instantly in your brain without you realising, all throughout your life, thats why kids are always hurting themselves alot when falling over whereas adults can usually sort themselves out. Your brain learns how to deal with certain situations. When youre dying, your brain knows that something is very wrong. But your brain has never died before, it doesn’t know what to do, it can’t find anything instantly. So it frantically searches through your memories for a similar experience in an act to try and save you. But it cant find one. So it keeps searching and searching until your very last breath. Even at the very end, your brain is still fighting like hell for you.

The counting song

I almost turned it off in the first 3 seconds, I’m glad i sat through that.

Amazingly innocent and dark at the same time; I love it.

Well that escalated quickly.

“Bruce?” Tony grunted, shifting, the sole of his foot running along a familiar poly-cotton blend. “Where’d you get to, buddy?”

There was a sort of squirm under his legs. “Hmnn?” I… sorry…” A hand scrubbed through shaggy salt-and-pepper locks as the scientist peered up at him. All around them were the sounds of muted breathing (or snoring, in Thor’s case). “You just seemed comfy where you were, so I…”

Tony propped his chin up on Steve’s gently, rhythmically rising chest, and rolled his eyes. “Don’t be a putz, Banner; snuggle up here where you belong.”

Bruce smiled, tired as he was, and crawled up the bed to wrap an arm around the waist of the most brilliant industrial inventor of the modern age, spooning him, his back pressed against the graceful curve of Tasha’s own, and closed his eyes again, contented.

With Tony around, it was safe to assume he’d never be left out of anything. Cuddle puddles included.
